At the Franklinton Center at Bricks (FCAB), we believe justice is not a privilege—it is a right. Yet across our nation, the need for attorneys committed to equity, fairness, and social change has never been greater. That is why we are launching an ambitious pilot program: Bar Prep at Bricks that will empower the next generation of social justice attorneys to break barriers, pass the bar, and begin careers defending the most vulnerable among us.
From December 27, 2026, through February 27, 2027, ten aspiring attorneys will come to our historic campus in Whitakers, North Carolina to prepare for the February Bar Exam. Each Fellow will receive:
- Secluded study space on our restorative grounds
- Housing, meals, parking, and wellness support
- Supplemental bar prep instruction
- A community of encouragement that allows fellows to focus fully on succeeding
The cost of this life-changing residency is $8,655 per Fellow—a fraction of the lifelong impact these attorneys will have once they begin championing social justice in our courts and communities.
