According to Yahoo: “blog (a truncation of “weblog”) is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (posts). Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page.”
And while the word CHRONICLE “is a historical account of facts and events arranged in chronological order, as in a time line. Typically, equal weight is given for historically important events and local events, the purpose being the recording of events that occurred, seen from the perspective of the chronicler. “
We are constantly reminded of our SANKOFA responsibility. Taking the stories of the past, the nuggets that are necessary into today, knowing that we are chronicling. Franklinton Center at Bricks has an ongoing responsibility to tell its stories, history, and herstories. These continue to be found, dug up and archived even as we live and thrive and write THE STORY OF TODAY.
Please follow our blog (the newsletter of today) SANKOFA CHRONICLES for updates of what is happening at Franklinton Center at Bricks!
